SEARCH FOR LIGHT AIRCRAFT IN ROBIN HOODS BAY
Humber Coastguard is coordinating an air and sea search after members of the public reported seeing a light aircraft crash into the sea in Robin Hoods Bay, North Yorkshire.
Now searching the area are two rescue helicopters from RAF Boulmer and Leconfield, Whitby RNLI lifeboats, a Police Helicopter and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay.
Members of the public phoned Humber Coastguard at 4.16pm and have described seeing a two seater light aircraft, go down into the sea close to the shore.
