Talli Group reach 1000 miles
The team reached the 1000 mile mark today. After a well deserved rest yesterday this target was accomplished under hot conditions, but team remaining fighting fit.
The group are staying in Castiglione over night and will be on the road again tomorrow, with an anticipated rest day on Sunday.
Castiglione d' Orcia - First mentioned in 714, Castiglione d'Orcia was a possession of the Aldobrandeschi family and in 1252 it became a free municipality. During the 14th century it became a Sienese possession and later it was the matter under dispute between the Salimbeni family and Siena.
The centre of the town, with its stone-paved streets, is picturesque, and the Piazza il Vecchietta is particularly interesting.
The cyclists can expect another hot and sunny day tomorrow with temperatures in the late twenties if not higher(centigrade)
